Mr Slaven Kufner got his degree from the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka in 2003. During his studies he served as member of the Supervisory Board of Kamen Sirač d.d. and embarked on a career at that company on completion of the studies. At Kamen Sirač d.d. he gained comprehensive experience working at various departments, including procurement, production, finance and sales.

Soon he assumed the position of Sales Director. Together with a strategic partner from Austria, he took part in the founding of the Intercal concern, in which he was responsible for the production and sale of stone materials and lime in Southeast Europe. Since 2008 he has served as Chairman of the Management Board of the Kufner Group, actively participating in all Group projects and operations, taking charge of its entire financial and operational restructuring in recent years. Slaven is responsible for implementing the new management strategy and expansion of the Kufner Group's business operations, focusing on the production of stone and insulation materials in Croatia and the region. In parallel, until the end of 2021 he was heavily involved in running Pivovara Daruvar, the family’s brewing business in which it invested in 2010.
